Pagosa Ranger District

ACCESS: Parking lot is located 14 mi. east of Pagosa Springs on the south side of U.S. Hwy 160 at the base of Wolf Creek Pass.

DIRECTIONS: The gravel trail (marked #563 on the SJNF Recreation Map) offers points of interest and rest benches along the way. It leads to a bridge spanning the base of the falls, where you can stand in the refreshing spray with the water tumbling hundreds of feet before you. In winter, the falls freeze into an ice-blue sculpture, which must be viewed from the parking lot when the trail becomes snowpacked.
