Pagosa Ranger District

ACCESS: Turn north on Fourmile Rd. (CR 400, which becomes FS Rd. #645) off U.S. Hwy 160 in Pagosa Springs. Travel 9 mi. on 2-wheel-drive gravel road. Veer right at the junction with Plumtaw Rd. (FS Rd. #634) to continue following Fourmile Rd. Go 4 mi. to the end. The trail starts at the end of the parking lot.

DIRECTIONS: The trail follows Fourmile Creek up a canyon with Eagle Mountain on your right. It travels through dense stands of aspen, spruce and fir. The trail enters the Weminuche wilderness 1 mi. in, where mountain bikes and motorized vehicles are not allowed. You reach Fourmile Waterfall 2 mi. later. The falls drop 300 feet from a cliff high above.
