4th of July Happenings
Durango's annual "Salute to America"
A new addition to the line-up this year is the New Mexico National Guard's 44thArmy Band. Friday, June 29. The 46-musician band will perform a free concert of patriotic music at the Rotary Park gazebo from 5:30 to 7:00pm. The show will open with a presentation of the colors by the VFW Color Guard, backed by brass and drums. Parking is limited.
The July 4 holiday festivities begin with the Freedom Fun Run/Walk, presented by Durango Parks and Recreation, at 9am sharp at RotaryPark. No entry fee is required, and all levels of runners and walkers are invited to join in the fun for prizes and surprises.
