DURANGO, Colo. – The Edgar Winter Band, featuring the legendary performer Edgar Winter, has been added to the Fall line-up at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College. Tickets go on sale Aug. 25, 2008, for the show set for Sun., Oct. 19, 7:30 p.m.

Still jamming as hard and heavy since his smashes "Frankenstein" and "Free Ride" captured an era in pop history and redefined the possibilities of fusing blues with rock, Edgar Winter (www.edgarwinter.com) continues to defy musical trends.

Raised in Beaumont, Tex,, the younger brother of ukulele player and guitarist Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter is known for pushing himself in new directions, synthesizing the rock, blues and jazz melodies he hears in his head. A talented saxophonist, keyboardist and composer, Winter remains at heart a blues musician who's never been afraid to venture into multiple musical arenas.

Winter's live shows consistently receive rave reviews. View the Edgar Winter Band performing “Frankenstein” at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCAUIGYhJAA&feature=related.
