DURANGO, Colo. - Three Springs will wrap up a summer of fun at Three Springs Plaza with the neighborhood’s final outdoor movie night Fri., Aug. 29 beginning at 7p.m.
The event kicks off with local youth rock band The Hounds of Purg and caps off with the feature movie presentation of October Sky, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The non-profit La Plata Family Centers Coalition will be selling popcorn and soda, with proceeds benefitting the organization.
“We encourage folks to bring blankets, a picnic, chairs and warm clothes to this Friday’s movie night,” said Tim Zink, Three Springs general manager. “It should be a great way to cap off the summer here at Three Springs. This movie is a very inspirational pick for children and adults alike.”
Three Springs has partnered with several non-profits throughout their summer event schedule including the Boys and Girls Club, Durango Nature Studies, Big Brothers Big Sisters, La Plata Family Centers Coalition and Team DEVO- Durango's Junior Development Mountain Bike Team.
