The Durango Independent Film Festival Announces the Winners of This Year's Festival Awards.
The Durango Independent Film Festival, presented by Glacier Club, held its 2008 Award Ceremony Sunday evening at a packed Abbey Theatre to announce the winners of this year's festival awards.

Club, held its 2008 Award Ceremony Sunday evening at a packed Abbey Theatre
to announce the winners of this year's festival awards.   Nearly all of the
films in the festival were in competition.  Awards were granted in three
categories: Juried awards, Audience awards, and the Filmmaker award with
specific recognition for the different styles of filmmaking.  Joanie
Fraughton, festival coordinator, commented, "We are so pleased with the
caliber of all the films throughout the festival and are excited to give
special recognition to a few outstanding selections.  We congratulate our
winners and all of the filmmakers in this year¹s festival."  The winners of
the 2008 Awards are as follows:

The Durango Independent Film Festival hosted its 3rd year of independent
films.  The mission of DIFF is to connect Durango to the world through film.
DIFF screened over 100 independent films including shorts, documentaries,
and feature films over five days, February 27-March 2, 2008. For more
