DURANGO, Colo. – As part of the reconstruction of the burned buildings in the 700 block of Main Avenue , the pedestrian walkway will be moved during the week of July 21-25 out of the street and up onto the sidewalk. The effort will coincide with the pouring of the concrete foundations for the three buildings.
The City of Durango has transfered the artwork decorating the wooden walkway to temporary storage for protection. Following relocation of the walkway, the artwork will be replaced.
For additional information regarding this project, call 970.375.5005. To watch the progress of the reconstruction, visit: http://www.downtowndurango.org/700blockrecovery.asp and click on “web cam.”
